Sisters annoy, interfere, criticize. Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks. Borrow. Break. Monopolize the bathroom. Are always underfoot. But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there. Defending you against all comers. ~Pam Brown
James and I (Abi) have families spread out over many miles, and so it is quite rare when we are able to convene in one place and at one time. This happened about six weeks ago, when my brother and his wife surprised my sister and I for a 10K in honor of her 25th birthday, and then over this past Thanksgiving holiday we were all together at my grandparent's house in northern Wisconsin. It was a special weekend filled with laughter, food and a little wood chopping, nothing too out of the ordinary for my family.
Christi is my sister, and she and her fiance Brian are recently engaged, and fully into the joy and fun of planning a wedding. We were honored, and excited of course when we were asked to take their engagement photos, and even more excited that we'd be able to do it in Conover Wisconsin, in front of the wood shed my grandpa has built with his own hands, walking out onto the frozen lake that we have skated on with cousins and siblings and swam countless miles in over many summers.
Brian and Christi are two incredibly fun-loving people who couldn't be more better suited for one another, as most couples always are. Their joy is contagious to all who are around them, and I'm just glad that my sister has found a husband to be who is just as goofy and silly as she is. We are so honored to be part of your lives, and can't wait to remain forever friends with the two of you!
